JOB DESCRIPTION:
Wholesale Outlet Inc. delivery driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of products to its customers. Assistance and support of the effective operation of the warehouse and service center is expected. Delivery trucks are to be operated under safe conditions in compliance with established policies and procedures as well as applicable municipal and state regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to:
§ Operate company truck in compliance with company policy, along with state and federal law
§ Make scheduled deliveries on time
§ Work in a fast paced environment
§ Help fulfill order in down time when not on the road
§ Make sure vehicle has fuel at all times (refuel on the way back from deliveries at the end of the day)
§ Be a team player
Physical Demands and Abilities:
§ Regularly lift and move objects 5-50lbs, occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh 80lbs with assistance
§ Load / unload their own vehicle
§ Sit in a vehicle for long periods of time
§ Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch
§ Strong depth perception
§ Well rested (safety for drivers and public)
Qualification Requirements:
§ Current and valid driver’s license issued in the state of employment
§ Clean driving record (no DUI’s, no major violations like accidents or moving violations within the past 36 months)
§ 5+ years’ driving experience
§ Fluent in English with good verbal communication skills
§ Forklift certified is an asset but not required
§ Experience in fields of HVAC is an asset but not required
